Join us to celebrate two years of Wyvern Tabletop Games Club.
Saturday 28 September, 2024 (13:30-21:30)
at Bishampton Villages Hall, WR10 2LY
Our first ever all-afternoon event! Drop in at any time. Come on your own, or in a group.
We'll be bringing an extensive games library. You can also bring your own games to share (at your own risk), or join in with other people's games.
Bar available for drinks and snacks, and you can BYO as usual.
We'll have a pizza catering truck in the car park from 5:30pm (also available to the wider village). If you don't eat pizza, the kitchen including oven and microwave will be available on request.
Please join the Facebook group and then RSVP for this Event. There are no tickets. But in the extreme event that we run into any capacity issues, priority will be given to people who have registered to attend on the Facebook Event.
Throughout the day you can just turn up and play games. No need to pre-arrange anything.
However... some larger games are bookable in advance to facilitate organisation. Please register FREE for these games by clicking "Reserve a seat" (see below). Information on reserving seats:
These are informal, free seat reservations. There is no right or obligation conferred, and we reserve the right to cancel individual games on the day without prior notice (this might happen if insufficient numbers attend or the volunteer is unable to run the game for any reason). We will endeavour to let you know in advance if that happens, but we can make no guarantee. Equally, as a courtesy to the volunteer hosting the game, please cancel your free ticket in good time if you find you are no longer able to attend (you can de-register yourself on the same form).
Waiting list: Reservations added after the "Seats remaining" count hits 0 will be on a waiting list and we'll contact you nearer the time to confirm reservations.
Privacy information: Your personal data submitted via the forms linked on this page will be used for no purpose other than in relation to your attendance at Extra Bonus Games Day. (To stay in contact with Wyvern longer term please see: Get our updates.)
Find a table. Join a game or start a game. Come on your own or in a group. Roll some dice, draw some cards, move some little pieces, don't flip the table! You can RSVP on on the Facebook Event for general admission.
Volunteer game host: Reuben. Please note: this is usually a long game and could continue all day. Players registering for this game are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the rules via YouTube videos etc prior to the big day.
Volunteer gamemaster: Dawn. Arrival from 13:30 for character creation, or shortly before 14:30 to choose a pre-generated character. "Take up the sword and don the whiskers of a brave mouse adventurer in Mausritter, the rules-light fantasy adventure roleplaying game."
Volunteer game host: Chris. This is the latest iteration of a highly-rated games series (currently rated 8.6 on Board Game Geek). Expect deck building, hand mangement, set collection, and sheep.
Volunteer game host: James. The meta-cooperative, story-centric zombie survival game!
The "Smokey Dough Pizza" van will be available from about 17:30 for all your wood-fired pizza needs.
Volunteer game host: Adam. The game of "murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller." Beginner-friendly Trouble Brewing script, beginners welcome with full support and teaching included.
This isn't a convention or a pop-up games shop. We're just playing games. We don't know how busy it'll be but there should be plenty of space. Capacity will be monitored. Our regular Second Sunday sessions usually have around 25 games-players. The more the merrier for this event!
Anyone! You don't have to be a Wyvern regular to come to this Games Day and you might be entirely new to the group. All ages welcome (children must be accompanied by a responsible adult). There is an accessible toilet and most tables and all food etc will be downstairs in the accessible main hall.
As with our regular second-Sundays events, we accept a voluntary contribution on the door toward venue hire, recommended £0 first-timers, £2 thereafter. (We're not altering that amount even for this 8-hour event.)
No, we will be holding the regular second-Sunday-of-the-month games night earlier in September, as usual.
Wyvern Tabletop Games Club is a friendly, inclusive, welcoming group. We usually meet on the second Sunday of each month, but this is an additional event.
